UAB' s O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center - AG Lighting & Events - ArtBlink 2021
UAB's O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center needed some help converting their in-person event into a virtual auction due to Covid-19. I worked with AG Events to create a presentation that could keep their audience interested and more importantly drive donations. The normal event hosts 15+ artists creating artwork in the span of 90 minutes to be auctioned off to a live audience and is the cancer centers largest donation drive. This year we had the task of presenting 20 artists. In just under 3 months we were able to give the viewers a close look into the artists processes and studios, as well as, the behind the scenes view on the creation of the artworks to be auctioned off. The result was over 65 videos, an expansive presentation involving local celebrities, and one of their most successful donation drives to date.

In response to Covid-19, the O'Neal Cancer Center opted to do their event virtually. Normally there would be an assembly of artist painting for 90 minutes during the event. This allows the bidders to see the piece they will eventually bid on. To correct this, I worked with AG Lighting & Events to interview 20 artists in their studios while they created work and explained their process.
